The fields at Cooperstown All Star Village feature the kind of turf and lighting that you’ll find in Major League stadiums. 12u: Field dimensions are 50-foot pitching distance, 70-foot base paths, 8-foot-high fences, 200 feet distance back.
All tournament games are played on state-of-the-art built fields with major league baseball amenities. Every field is patterned like major league baseball fields complete with warning track, LED lighted score boards, stainless steel drinking fountains, spectator viewing areas with stage seating and professional sports field lighting. Just like the pros.
There are eleven fields, each with a slightly different character -- including three all turf fields called Yankee Stadium, Chicago Stadium and California Stadium. There are a total of eight natural (dirt and grass) fields and two that challenge players to beat the Green Monster. Souvenir "I Hit One Over the Green Monster" T-shirts are available for purchase in the gift shop.
All of our fields are equipped with web cams that broadcast the games live on the internet and back to our full service restaurant. Our professional broadcaster booth web casts the Cooperstown Tournament of Champions games in real time every Thursday.
All games will be six innings or 1 hour 55 minute time limit(whichever comes first), with a 10 run mercy rule after four innings. Base runners will be allowed to lead off. In the event of Extended Weather delays the CASV Baseball Director will schedule a coaches meeting to be held in the 50 state arena tent. CASV Baseball Director will send a message to all coaches regarding time of meeting via remindme app. Game times are typically (Insert Bracket and tournament info)
Players must be 12u and cannot turn 13 before May 1st of the tournament year that you are attending. Prior to each game, field umpires will review the rules and official lineup cards with both head coaches. The home team book is the official game book. All games in POOL PLAY will be 6 Inning games or 1 hour 55 minute time limit(whichever comes first) (Weather Permitting).
PITCHER: Once the starting pitcher is removed, they cannot re-enter as a pitcher later on in that game. No pitching restrictions (Coaches discretion); please take into consideration the health and safety of your players.

It is required that every player wear a double earflap protective helmet while batting, on deck, in the coach’s boxes and running bases.

Or enjoy the game and a meal or snack in air-conditioned comfort in our full service restaurant, the All Star Tavern. The Overlook Outdoor Restaurant offers views of many of our fields as well.
Your player will have a near-MLB experience on our state of the art fields patterened after MLB ballfields.
Between games enjoy a meal and adult beverage in the All Star Tavern, the Overlook or Babes Bar, shop in the Cooperstown Gear Shop or just relax in one of the many comfy spots along our Promenade or in the Courtyard.

All fields are located in walking distance from parking area or if you prefer take a ride to the game on one of our golf carts.
All of our fields are equipped with web cams that broadcast the games live on the internet and back to our full service restaurant. Our professional broadcaster booth web casts the Cooperstown Tournament of Champions games in real time every Thursday.
Concession stands are located in close proximity to the fields and are open daily 1/2 hour before first game time till last game of the day. We offer plenty of cold beverages, hot coffee, sandwiches and snacks all day long, SEE MENU.

SATURDAY 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Registration at the Courtyard next to the Gift Shop (head coaches only). Assistant coaches and players check in to Player Village Bunkhouse. Our staff will help you unload your vehicle in the Family Village. We will bring the teams and their luggage to the Player Village.
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On site guest hotel check in on the promenade.
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Team Medical check-in (by team), at the infirmary.
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Tours of Cooperstown All-Star Village on our hay wagons.
3:30 p.m.
All parents and guests must leave the Player Village area.
2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All-American Family Barbecue at the Fifty State Arena. ($14 per meal for Adults and $10 for children 12 and under and children 3 and younger are free.) Players, Coaches and Umpires eat free. No other meals will be served on this day to the Players, Coaches, and Umpires. There will be team specials (pizza, chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks) available for preorder in the All Star restaurant.
4 p.m.
Mandatory head coaches meeting at the Player Dining Pavilion (located in back of the restaraunt in Player Village).
5 p.m.
Players, coaches, and umpires must be in their bunkhouses to participate in the mandatory fire drill. Players will need to have their equipment ready to bring with them to the opening ceremonies at the conclusion of the fire drill.
5:15 p.m.
Players, coaches, and umpires assemble in full uniform at the 50 States Tent with all equipment to line up for the Opening Ceremonies Parade of Teams and Skills Competition. Skills competition and Skills competition finals to be held after opening ceremonies.
Umpires attending the Cooperstown All Star Village (CASV) weekly tournaments will be provided with accommodations in our Umpire Bunkhouses, three meals a day in the Player Pavilion, 2 Polo shirts (you may also bring your own shirts), an Umpire Ballcap, a warm-up jacket, a ball bag, a ticket to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and a CASV Baseball Hall of Fame ring.
Each umpire will be expected to officiate three games each day. These games will not be for the team you are representing. All games and field assignments will be made by our Umpire in Charge (UIC). If you are representing a team you will be paid directly by the team. If you are an umpire hired by us here at CASV you wil be expected to complete a timesheet noting the game, time and field you worked and have this signed by the UIC prior to submitting it for payment. Please be sure all the necessary paperwork is on file in the Main Office upon your arrival. You can get this information from the UIC when you arrive. Umpires will not be paid unless this information is completed and on file here.
Many umpires have pins made so they can participate with the players in the pin trading that occurs here at CASV. We highly recommend First Place Collectibles (www.firstplacepins.com) but you can, of course, have them made at a place of your choice.
