2021 Season Update
Dear Coaches, players, umpires and their families,
The health and safety of Cooperstown All Star Village players, coaches, umpires, guests and employees is our highest priority. As we continue to actively monitor developments related to coronavirus (COVID-19) we want to assure you that Cooperstown All Star Village is taking all necessary health and safety precautions in accordance with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and New York State health officials for our players, coaches, umpires, guests and employees. Our first priority has always been how to best protect the safety and health of our players, coaches, umpires, guests, team members and community.
The 2021 Cooperstown All Star Village Covid-19 re-opening plan was submitted to our local health department on March 6, 2021. Although it was evaluated by DOH with great remarks, we are currently awaiting government and medical approval for our 2021 re-opening.
Our current plan is to continue working toward a full re-opening for the 2021 season until we have guidance that says otherwise.
We have also partnered with the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame for a safer experience.
Visiting the Hall of Fame- The Hall of Fame will be open to the public until 5 p.m. after 5 pm CASV teams will have reserved time slots starting on Sunday to visit the hall of fame, giving all our 2021 teams the full experience.
2022 season brings along some great opportunities.
We have expanded the 12U season from 12 to 14 tournaments, the additional tournaments create an opportunity for hundreds of additional teams to participate in the Ultimate Cooperstown Experience. These spots are on a first come first serve basis and do not require a grandfather letter for placement.
We will also bring the lost opportunity back to Cooperstown for the players and teams that were not able to participate in 2021. The Wood Bat Tournament will be available for all 14 tournaments, we will have available 22 spots each week for this separate tournament.
All rules the same as 12U with the following exceptions:
1-One Piece Wood Only
2- Age Cutoff date: Player cannot turn 14 before May 1, 2021.
3- Roster: 13U team minimum would be the same as our current 12u minimum - 11 players and 2 coaches.
4- Field: Field Dimensions would be 50' mound, 70' basepath and 200' to outfield fence.
